Tim and his family came to Virginia in 1997 to help plant Forefront Church in Virginia Beach. Forefront celebrated Virginia Vision’s largest launch to date with 517 attending on opening day! After settling in at around 300, Forefront grew to 750 by their 3rd anniversary. Tim’s experience at Forefront: attracting a crowd and transforming it into a congregation gives him the unique perspective to lead this new church.
Tim grew up in a military family which gave him a great opportunity to experience all kinds of churches, large & small, thriving & struggling. He also got hands-on church planting experience when his parents helped start two new churches. After college (CCU), Tim worked for several years as a high school math teacher & basketball coach. After completing a year-long internship at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY, Tim gained valuable ministry experience as the Pastor of Administration & Worship in Detroit, Michigan.
Tim has been the Director of Church Planting for the VEF for the past 4 years. Under his leadership the VEF has planted 5 new churches around Virginia. Tim’s hobbies are golf (rain or shine), restoring his 1970 Torino GT Convertible and consuming all things chocolate.

 Chip Prior - Creative Arts Director

Chip, a long-time Denver, CO resident, is married to Yvette and has three kids (Brogan, Chad, and Cade). Chip and Yvette both graduated from Colorado Christian University where he received a degree in Youth Ministry. He spent 6 years at a church in Littleton, CO as a youth pastor before he felt called to go into worship ministry. He helped launch and lead worship at The Journey in San Jose, CA before moving to Richmond in 2002.
Chip digs the beach, reading, all Chinese food, and Macs. He dislikes golf, cauliflower, cats, reality television, and the color fuchsia. Check out his website at www.chipprior.com.

 Lisa Cole - Children and Youth Pastor

Lisa absolutely loves kids! Lisa grew up in central Indiana. As a child, Lisa’s parents also helped start a new church in Martinsville, Indiana. Lisa received a degree in Youth Ministry from Cincinnati Christian University and has expanded her skills in a variety of ministry settings.
Most recently Lisa has been the Director of Children’s Ministry at two successful, growing church plants and is a leader in the network of Children’s and Youth Ministers around Virginia (S.M.O.V.). Lisa enjoys a good book, a good conversation, and a good bowl of chips & salsa.
Tim & Lisa have three children. Susan, Victoria, and little Timmy.

 Laura Shibut- Ministry Administrator

Laura grew up in Allentown, PA and came down to Richmond to study at Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned her degree in psychology. After four years in Richmond, she knew Richmond was her new home. After graduation she worked 5 years downtown at a corporate office where she met her husband Doug. From there she began working at Northminster Church in the northside of town. During her 12 years there, Laura served in various roles including Minister to Youth and Young Adults and Coordinator of Worship and Fellowship. She has also served at Community Bible Study, Sweet Monday, and other ministries in the area. Doug and Laura enjoy hanging out at home with their cats and friends.
Laura is a fan of anything Apple, photography and gardening.
